AREPAS ODER CURRYWURST
Comedy
Two Languages
Is the comedy of a Venezuelan couple who have the experience of emigrating to Germany. They come with the risk of not adapting and losing each other as they confront what comes with adapting and integrating into a new country. The piece will move between humor and drama to tell small and funny stories of the avatars that arise when you have to start over in this country. He is a folk music musician and she is a television actress. They both have to decide how much of their traditions, customs, language, music and food they want to keep in their everyday lives in order to adapt to the new culture. It's the constant dilemma between here and there, i.e. between "arepas or currywurst?". At the end we let ourselves be comforted by the sounds of the salsa group “La Banda Rupo”.
