3D & VR Designlabor
Design and art have always been characterized by the pursuit of perfection. Since ancient times, mathematical and aesthetic principles such as the golden ratio, the Fibonacci sequence and symmetry have been used to create compositions that are perceived as "ideal". Today, machines take over this task to achieve perfection with algorithmic efficiency. But how does this perfectionism affect the freedom and creativity of designers? Salma Parra addressed this central research question in her bachelor's thesis: "Does perfectionism kill the freedom and creativity of designers?" To find answers, she conducted expert interviews with the renowned, Oscar-nominated Japanese director Koji Yamamura and the art historian Prof. Dr. Marcel René Marburger . The insights from these conversations flowed directly into her creative project - a seven-minute, 3D animated short film that combines 2D textures and 3D elements.
