LA GOLPISTA
Tragicomedy
Monologue
A sarcastic monologue that challenges the constant aggression that comes from men towards women as a synonym for machismo, and in this case shows a woman played by Violeta Fonseca who mistreats her husband, even though she considers herself the weaker sex. With a perspective opposite to the general reality, it leads the audience to be amused and simultaneously think about domestic violence. Throughout human history, the female gender has been considered the weaker sex. In fact, we have seen, heard, and been told stories of women's abuse, and although it is true that women are physically weaker, it goes beyond that, as we have been culturally taught that we must be submissive and endure abuse from the "strong" gender, which means it is more of a psychological than a physical weakness. In "The Female Aggressor" we encounter a reversed portrayal that perhaps represents a false and crazy reaction of a woman who, contrary to the majority, has developed a violent personality when she, the "weaker sex," mistreats the man. This is a comedy where paradoxical situations to reality lead the audience to be amused while simultaneously reflecting on domestic violence. Produced by VIART PRODUCCIONES AND EL BIGOTE DE DALÍ, this play features a professional artistic team that demonstrates its high quality as artists through the combination of strength and creativity, achieving the union of all essential factors for a good play, from the accurate and bold dramaturgy of JAVIER MORENO, under the impeccable DIRECTION OF CYNTHIA SCHOLZ, and with the excellent performance of VIOLETA FONSECA
